Kill the Lag & Freeze Issue

If you’re playing Metal Gear Survive online and experiencing lags, you should turn off any applications that might be using the Internet along with any downloads that are in process. If you still experience lags or stutters in Metal Gear Survive you need to disable V-sync as well as make some changes in the Nvidia 3D Control Panel.

Make your way to the Nvidia Control Panel and click on the Manage 3D Settings option. Next, click on Program Settings and add or select the Metal Gear Survive exe file and manually turn off Shader Cache as well manually disabling any option of Vsync. This should improve the frame rate as well as remove any annoying stutters you’ve been experiencing. If the game still doesn’t run smoothly, them set the Max Pre Rendered Frames to 4 using the Nvidia Control Panel.

If you experience lags or stutters when playing on your own then you need to make sure you’re using the graphics settings recommended by the game as well as making sure the game is up-to-date with all recent patches. You can also increase the number of cores that are being used by the game using the Task Manager as well as increasing its priority to make sure it gets sufficient CPU and GPU resources it needs to operate smoothly.

Delay in Dialogues & Mouse Input

Many players have reported a delay in mouse response as well as lagging when dialogues are being said on screen. We don’t know what causes it can be fixed by changing the screen settings from Full-Screen to Borderless along with disabling v-sync. Additionally, if you’re running any background programs, including firewalls, browsers, video recorders, and overlays it’s recommended that you disable them as well.

Black Screen Error

You might have encountered this bug already when you launched the game for the very first time. The black screen error is caused by the resolution of the game being higher than the corresponding value of the computer monitor. To fix this, simply press Tab + Alt simultaneously to convert the screen from full screen to the windowed mode which will then allow you to change the screen resolution.

Green Screen Error

If the game is throwing up a green screen when you start it or if it flickers during gameplay then make your way to the Nvidia Control Panel again and go to the Change Resolution setting under Display. Now simply click on Use Nvidia Color Setting and select Highest (32-Bit).
