One drawback of users relying so much on their smartphones is that they start to One one hand while this is an excellent feature, on the other, the user can end up with hundreds of unnecessary files. These files are sometimes uploaded automatically or manually by the same name. This makes the process of locating the original files complicated for the user. Therefore, it is important that you are able to rename files and photos so that you are able to organize them as well.
Rename using File Explorer
Let’s start with the old school one. Rename your Samsung device photos and files by connecting it to a computer. Simply connect the device using a USB cable and a window will pop-up. Simply navigate to the file/ photo you wish to rename. Right-click it and select Rename. Type in the new name and hit Enter once you’re done.
Rename using File Manager
Another way to rename files and photos on your Samsung device is by visiting the File Manager. Once you tap on it, you will be able to see both the internal and external memory. Select the file or photo you want to rename and hold it for a while until it displays several options including Rename. Tap on Rename and type the new name. You can repeat this process to rename as many files and photos you want to rename.
Rename using Easy File Renamer
Easy File Renamer is a software app that makes renaming files, photos, music, and folders a very simple task. It is well equipped to rename a very large number of files in a single go and it’s easy-to-use user interface means the user can handle it all without any help required.
Visit the Easy File Renamer official website and download the setup file.
Once then download is over, execute the setup file and launch the program.
After launching the software, the System Renamer tab will be selected by default. Easy File Renamer allows you to upload and rename files and folders. Select the Samsung drive uploaded on your PC and continue to select files and photos.
Click the Add Files button and select the files you want to rename. You can also select to upload all the files located within a folder via the All Files from a Folder option.
After you are done adding the files, they will be all laid out in a list in the Easy File Renamer user interface.
Click the Select Rule drop-down menu and now select the renaming rule of your choice. Right below this rule, you will be required to enter in text and select an option also (depending on the rule you selected).
Now click the Add Rule button to confirm this rule for renaming your Samsung phone files. You can take a look at the New Name column to get a preview of the names that will be applied to the files during the renaming operation.
Click the Rename button located in the bottom-right corner to start the renaming job. The process will be over within a few minutes even if you have selected a large number of files.
Also, you can rename your music files as well. To do this, head over to the Music Fixer section and click the MP3 Files button.
