- Now press Enter and the Chkdsk command will automatically start the repair and recovery process to help you restore the memory card without any loss of data.
Note: This process can take a while, depending on the size of the SD card and the level of corruption. - After the process has been completed, your memory card should be able to work normally as before.
- Create a backup of the data and format the memory card to make sure it doesn’t become corrupt again anytime soon.
Format Corrupt SD Card
If your computer is unable to read the SD card on a Windows 10 computer, it might be because of the fact that the SD card is using a file system such as NTFS which is incompatible with the SD card, or the file system of the card is damaged. In such a situation formatting your memory card with the right settings can solve the problem but the entire data will be erased.
