- Download and install Easy File Renamer.
- Select the Organizer tab.
- Click on Add Path and load all the files that you wish to organize.
- Under the Step 2 section, fill all the required settings by looking through options in all the drop-down menus. Don’t forget to select Images in the Organize Files drop-down menu or else EFR will perform the job on all the files in the folder(s) you selected.
- For Organize By, select the Date Created option. You can choose a date format of your choice from the Date Format drop-down.
- At the bottom, you will see a Destination section. Browse through your computer and select the location where you want to save the organized photos.
- Decide if you want to make a copy of files and then organize them or move them as organized files altogether.
- Hit the Organize button.
- After this operation, your photos will be placed in new and organized folders.
Rename Photos
Once you have all your photos organized, it is also suggested to rename them. By doing so, you will ensure that your files stay organized even if you move them to a new location later on or if you just add a bunch of more files to that folder.
Apart from simply organizing photos, Easy File Renamer is also capable of renaming files. Here is how you can do so:
- After launching the application, you will see the System Renamer tab selected by default.
- Click the Add Files button and load all the files you want to rename.
- Click the Select Rule option on the left-hand side and select a rule from the 12 different options that are available.
- Click the Add Rule button to see your changes being applied.
- Once you are satisfied with the preview (in the New Name column), hit the green Rename button.
Within a few seconds, all the name changes will be done.
